| Joanne Kowalski Experienced Licensed Professional Makeup Artist (also does some hair) |
I have been a MAKEUP ARTIST for
over 15 years but it seems I have been interested in the beauty field much
longer. I think my love for makeup began when I was a teenager. I
would love to spend time at the mall (like most kids) but I always would hang
around the cosmetic counters and look at all the products and colors. I
would also watch those shows where they would do complete makeovers on people
and I was in awe of the change that the right makeup and hair could make.
I remember saying to my mom "That’s what I am going to do someday" I would

talent and immediately recommended me to some of their photographers that were
doing test shoots for their agency. So from there I gathered names and went to
meet these photographers and they began to use me to do makeup and hair for the
models on the photo shoots.
One thing led to the next and before I knew it I had a professional
resume and portfolio and began to get more and more good paying jobs. I had
heard in order to make it big and gain experience as a makeup artist the thing
to do was to go to
